Click on the video to hear Dr Chris Chapparo explain perception.

To be able to ‘perceive’ something your child needs to pay attention to the right piece of information and make sense of what it means.

These 10 questions may help you understand how your child is using their ‘attention’ for learning.

When answering these questions, think about how your child is most of the time. You might like to do the survey again, answering how they are after a seizure.

Some of these skills are not expected of a very young child so answer how you expect your child to act for their age.

When my child is doing school related activities, he / she is able to:

Always (100%)
Frequently (75%)
Often (50%)
Seldom (25%)
Never (0%)
