Epilepsy is the world’s most common serious brain disorder, and is more prevalent than Parkinson’s, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy combined. It can affect anyone at any time and unfortunately many of those commonly affected are babies and children. Even though epilepsy affects so many, we receive only a very small percentage of funding from the government. It is a devastating condition with widespread effects but remains woefully underfunded and under-researched.
As the largest and oldest national provider of specialist services, education and support, Epilepsy Action relies on the generosity of the community to continue to improve the lives of those with epilepsy.
As a registered Australian charity, any donations over $2 are tax deductible and will be gratefully received.
