A champion for First Nations visibility and understanding, Nikyah has devoted her career to leadership in Indigenous media, producing content that reaches audiences across Australia and sparks real conversations about culture, identity, and inclusion. Living with epilepsy since childhood, Nikyah knows firsthand the complexities of navigating a condition that is often misunderstood or overlooked, especially in communities where health resources are scarce.
Her decision to speak openly about her experience is driven by a deep commitment to reducing stigma and building better support for people living with epilepsy, particularly in First Nations, rural, and regional communities. Nikyah’s work is rooted in a belief that nobody should have to face epilepsy alone, and that visibility is the first step to meaningful progress.
