Carol serves on numerous government, university and industry boards and advisory councils, representing the needs of consumers. Carol became CEO of Epilepsy Action Australia in March 2006 and is fully responsible for all operations of the company within established policies and, in accordance with the authority delegated by the Board of Directors, she implements the strategic goals and objectives, giving direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organisation’s mission and strategy. In her role Carol has had significant contact with many individuals and families faced with managing very challenging forms of (often medication resistant) epilepsy. She is a strong and active advocate for people living with epilepsy.
