Remembering a Loved One
Making a donation in tribute of a loved one is a unique and lasting way to remember and honour them. You may like to make a one-off donation or set-up a regular gift in memory of your loved one. There is also the option of requesting family and friends give a donation to Epilepsy Action Australia instead of sending flowers. These kind and thoughtful gifts provide a lasting and meaningful legacy benefiting the lives of people living with epilepsy now and in the future.
Give in Memory
You can acknowledge a one-off or regular donation is in memory of a loved one through our website. Make a memorial donation online here. Simply select ‘In Memoriam’ from the drop down menu on the donation form under “I would like my donation to go towards …”
We thank our donors who choose to support us in memory of their loved one for their generosity during a time of great sadness.
Arrange a Donation Collection
You may like to choose to commemorate the life of a loved one by asking for donations to Epilepsy Action rather than flowers at the funeral or memorial service.
If you would like friends and family members to make a donation to Epilepsy Action in lieu of flowers, you may wish to include the following wording in your loved one’s funeral announcement:
‘Donations in lieu of flowers to Epilepsy Action Australia –www.epilepsy.org.au’.
During this difficult time, we can also make it a little easier by providing free donation envelopes that can be sent to you, a nominated family member or funeral home. Please call 1300 EPILEPSY (37 45 37) or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements.
Our free Gift In Lieu envelopes are an easy way for people to donate in memory of a loved one.
All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. A receipt will be sent to all donors, and a letter will be forwarded to the next of kin advising them of each kind donation.
