It is really important to know that some antiepileptic medications can interact with contraceptive medications and increase the risk of unwanted pregnancy or reduced seizure control.

Talk to your doctor about the types of contraception you can use with the type of antiepileptic medication you are taking. You may need to take additional precautions to prevent unexpected pregnancy.
