Guidelines for taking medications

Medications are to control seizures. It is important to remember they are not a cure.

If you stop having seizures once you start taking medications, this means the medications are working. It does not mean the seizures are cured!

Never stop taking your medication without the doctors advice. Suddenly stopping medication is dangerous and can actually trigger seizures, often more severe than usual.
