Glossary
What does it mean?

Epilepsy Action provides help and information to anyone who wants it.

This can mean people with epilepsy, their families, friends, peers, carers or work friends.

We work around Australia including the country and remote areas.

We aim to educate, inform and help people with epilepsy, their families and those who work with them.

How we do it...

  1. Giving talks and education to the community, schools and teachers, hospitals, and many other workplaces to help people better understand epilepsy
  2. We can visit people in their homes or in hospital
  3. We can help with problems at school or work
  4. Camps - kids camp, teens camp, family camp, womens and mens weekends. These are all fun and a great way to meet other people with epilepsy.
  5. Weblinx - a general internet forum for people interested in sharing experiences of epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
  6. Offer a magazine, Headlines, for information and updates about epilepsy
  7. We have a 1300 number so anyone can ring for the cost of a local call
  8. We send information about epilepsy

we do the best we can to help...
