What does it mean?

... having friends that understand.

Do you know someone who has epilepsy? You can be a big help to them by being their friend and understanding their epilepsy. Kids with epilepsy are sometimes thought to be dumb or strange just because they have seizures. This is not true.

No one should be made fun of just because they are different. Most people with epilepsy are just like you and me. They go to school, have fun and generally have a happy life.

When they grow up they can be almost anything they want to be.

Epilepsy does not stop people doing great things. There are heaps of famous people who have epilepsy.

If you know someone with epilepsy, make sure you know what to do if they have a seizure.
