Once a seizure starts, it usually stops quickly by itself.

The best thing is to stop the seizures from starting!

Here is a list of things that can help stop your seizures...

  • Medicines are to stop the seizures. If your medicine doesn't stop all your seizures, it will probably help to stop most of them, or to have smaller ones
  • Getting a good sleep each night helps too. Everybody needs sleep to keep healthy, but people with epilepsy need sleep to also help stop seizures
  • Eating healthy foods makes your body and brain healthy
  • Sports and exercise keep you healthy also - as well as helping you sleep better at night!
  • Tell you mum or dad if you are worried about something, big worries can make seizures happen sometimes
